A vision that goes beyond the office
RIVEX LAB was born from a simple conviction: modern digital environments deserve furniture that lives up to their importance.
Today, an office is no longer just a place where one works.
It is a space where decisions are made, projects are developed, and ideas are built.
At RIVEX LAB, we design surfaces in solid wood and epoxy resin conceived to complement these demanding environments: executive offices, creative studios, telework spaces, or professional setups.
Each creation is developed to fulfill a dual role.
To offer a solid foundation for work.
And to become a strong aesthetic piece in the space.
The ambition is clear: to build a Canadian benchmark in high-end furniture for modern digital environments.
Because performance does not depend solely on the tools.
It also relies on the foundation that supports them.
Performance needs a foundation.
We design it.
The origin of RIVEX LAB
Before RIVEX LAB, there was a workshop.
For over 15 years, the founder operated a paint shop specializing in wood finishing: stairs, kitchen doors, and components for various companies in the field.
Precise work, rooted in the material.
Over time, the desire to create something different emerged.
During a vacation period, he then built a desk for himself.
A desk made of solid wood and epoxy resin.
The result marked a turning point.
This personal project became the starting point for a new direction: designing desks that combine wood craftsmanship, strong aesthetics, and real-world use.
RIVEX LAB was born from this transition.
Each desk is now developed with the same intention: to create a piece that one would want to integrate into their own space.
Today, our workspaces have changed.
To work.
To create.
To produce.
To build projects.
Digital environments are central to our daily lives.
But if tools are evolving, the space in which we work must also evolve.
At RIVEX LAB, we start with a simple principle: an office shouldn't just be functional.
It must support the work.
And contribute to the visual identity of the space.
Our desks, made in Quebec from solid wood and epoxy resin, are designed to complement modern environments: executive offices, creative studios, telework spaces, or complete professional setups.
Each piece is designed to offer a stable work surface, while also providing a distinctive aesthetic presence.
Local production.
Limited quantities.
No mass manufacturing.
A material chosen with demanding standards
Each desk begins with a rigorous selection of solid wood.
We mainly work with walnut, maple, and other local species depending on the availability from sawmills.
Each piece is chosen for its character: the wood grain, its natural contrasts, and the forms revealed by the material.
This is what gives each desk its visual identity.
The tops have an average thickness of 1 ¼ inches, a choice that ensures rigidity, presence, and durability.
Epoxy resin is then precisely poured to complement the natural movement of the wood.
It doesn't hide the material.
It enhances it.
The result can never be perfectly reproduced.
The wood grain, the resin's reaction, and natural variations create a surface unique to each piece.
Each RIVEX LAB desk thus has its own signature.
Made in Quebec
RIVEX LAB is a Quebec company specializing in the design of high-end solid wood and epoxy resin furniture.
The design, assembly and validation of the desks are all done here.
This choice is not insignificant.
Working locally allows us to maintain direct control over quality, materials and manufacturing precision.
Partners, suppliers and workshops involved in production are all nearby.
This approach allows us to develop each desk with rigor, while maintaining controlled production.
Each model is tested, validated and numbered before being added to the catalog.
This local expertise is an integral part of RIVEX LAB's identity.
One actual part. Only once.
At RIVEX LAB, each desk presented in the catalog corresponds to the exact piece that was manufactured.
Images are taken once production is complete, and then the model is added to the site as is.
There is no identical reproduction.
The wood grain, the resin's reaction, and the natural variations of the material make it impossible to perfectly reproduce each surface.
Each desk is therefore available as a single unique item.
Once sold, the model disappears from the catalog.
Some collections may share a common inspiration—a resin color, a wood species, or an aesthetic direction—but each piece retains its own variations.
Choosing a RIVEX LAB desk is not selecting a product from repetitive production.
It is acquiring a real piece, created only once.
